Digital Imaging

Our dentists are very careful in deciding when and what kinds of radiographs are taken for a patient. Radiographs are images of your teeth that are very useful in evaluating one’s oral health. These X-ray images are used in combination with low radiation levels in order to capture images of hard-to-see areas of your mouth, such as the interior of your teeth and gums.

In a dental office, radiographs enable your dentist in diagnosing a variety of issues, such as cavities, tooth decay, and impacted teeth and/or gums. Radiographs also facilitate the examination and determination of one’s bone level, bone health, roots, nerves, lesions (cysts/tumors), and oral damage/trauma.

Due to the invasive nature of radiographs, our dentists make it a priority to very carefully assess the necessity and type, keeping patient wellbeing, health, and urgency in mind.

Intra-oral Camera

An intra-oral camera is a small camera that allows our practice to view clear and precise images of one’s mouth, teeth, and gums. Our office utilizes intra-oral camera technology to help properly make a diagnosis, and to enhance our understanding of your diagnosis. These cameras provide clear, defined and enlarged images so that minute details that may be missed by standard mirror examinations may be detected. Intra-oral cameras facilitate a faster and more accurate diagnosis, allowing a more time efficient process for you!
